Troop 190 is sponsored by the First Church of God 2100 North M 52 Owosso, MI 48867. The Scouting program is carried out by the Scoutmaster under the supervision of the Troop Committee as prescribed by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

We gladly welcome new scouts into our troop. The Troop Committee and Scoutmaster pledge to you to assist each scout in the development of his duties to God and Country, to others, and to himself. We hope to develop an awareness of self-reliance, to improve individual and group skills, and to increase his abilities and knowledge.

Adult Training

New Quality Unit Standards now require at least 50% of our actively involved registered adults be trained.
Cub Scout Pack Training does not carry over to the Troop.

Announcements

Each boy needs to purchase a 1-1 1/2" binder with ruled paper, sheet protectors and pencil and bring them to EVERY meeting.

All adult leaders are required to complete Fast Start Training. 

Online Fast Start training is a quick orientation to help you get ready for your first Boy Scout meeting. The training is divided into five sections:

• The Troop Meeting
• The Troop Committee
• The Outdoor Program
• Basic Concepts of Scouting
• The Scout Uniform

You may review the sections all at once, or one at a time (in any order). There is no time limit, nor do you need to review all sections from the same computer.

Youth Protection Training

AAll registered adult leaders are required to take this training.  You may elect to take this training online which will test your knowledge of the material and record your results and participation with the council.  In addition Youth Protection Training is offered during various times of the year by the Council and Troop.

Registered adults who have not had this training and are planning to attend Summer Camp are encouraged to complete Youth Protection prior to camp.
